Cheong Mun Kwong

Cheong Mun Kwong (“Jeffrey Cheong”) , Malaysian, Male, aged 33, has eight (8) years of experience in the oil and gas industry with ExxonMobil, including five (5) years as expatriate at its Houston HQ and Singapore Refinery. Throughout his career, he has honed operational and execution excellence, with deep expertise in supply chain optimisation, port operations, and terminal an logistics. He is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CLEF Group, which manages multiple retail brands, and has built an extensive network across the retail ecosystem. Jeffrey Cheong brings a strong track record in the retail and e-commerce sectors, establishing himself as a seasoned entrepreneur and visionary leader.

Currently, Jeffrey Cheong served as the Deputy Executive Director of Perak Transit Berhad and its subsidiaries (“Group”), focusing on integrating innovative retail concepts into the Group’s transportation infrastructure. This includes the introduction of live commerce capabilities within the Group’s integrated terminal network, leveraging the convergence of logistics, warehousing and digital retail commerce.

With effect from 8 May 2026, Jeffrey Cheong’s role will be extended to oversee the finance and accounting functions, supported by the existing personnel of the Finance Department, including working closely with the Audit Committee to ensure continuity in financial governance, internal controls, reporting standards and compliance matters.
